Submerged plants replenish oxygen levels
Fish LOVE these plants! They will lay their eggs in them. They will also dart between them and use them to hide in. Don't worry! Fish are usually friendly and won't hide from you if you are the one that feeds them.
Submerged plants will help control algae
The submerged plant, similar to the floating plant, continuously absorbs nitrates and phosphates in the water which are the leading nutrients that promote algae growth. Learn about other methods to control algae here.
We recommend that you purchase lead weights $0.15, 1 per submerged plant, to help assist in anchoring the plant. These plants can also be potted in soil.
Submerged plants are great for aquariums
Fish & snails love submerged plants. A fluorescent light would be required for indoor growth. Fish will like to eat this plant, please note that it is not harmful to them.
